Jean Galloway Bissell Award
The South Carolina Women Lawyers Association is proud to honor Judge Bissell by creating its annual award in her name. SCWLA accepts nominations for the Jean Galloway Bissell Award each calendar year. The award is presented at SCWLA’s annual award reception in October.

Emerging Leader Award
The Emerging Leader award will be awarded to one qualified SCWLA member to aid in their professional development. The purpose of the Emerging Leader Award is to provide an opportunity to a SCWLA member to participate in an outstanding program to learn and grow as a leader and become more involved in SCWLA.
Jean Hoefer Toal Award
The South Carolina Women Lawyers Association (SCWLA) plans to present the Jean Hoefer Toal Award periodically to a deserving recipient whose career exemplifies the qualities and achievements this award is intended to honor. The Toal Award is designed to recognize professional excellence and notable career achievement characterized by the championship of causes affecting women.
