This presentation examines how traumatic brain injuries and other less visible injuries may be overlooked when clients remain outwardly composed and continue meeting professional, family, and caregiving responsibilities. Although these symptoms may be present in any client, they may be particularly difficult to recognize in women who are accustomed to balancing multiple roles and continuing to function despite injury. The presentation will address symptom recognition, client interviewing, functional evidence, credibility, and the attorney’s role in making hidden injuries understandable.
