SCWLA is looking forward to a zoom presentation, "We Are Still Here: An Introduction to Tribal Law, Treaty Rights, and Federal Indian Law," by Holly James.
Holly James serves as the Fellow for the Constitutional Law Center. She graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law with a concentration in Children’s Law, previously receiving her Masters in Federal Indian Law from the University of Tulsa College of Law. Prior to joining the Center, Holly clerked with Big Fire Law & Policy, working with Federal and State Tribes across the nation in matters of Federal Indian Law, Treaty Rights, Constitutional Law, and the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA). She previously clerked for the Hon. Steff Padilla in the Los Angeles Superior Court and has also clerked with the U.S. Dept. of the Interior, Los Angeles County Counsel, and with the Native American Rights Fund, where she worked on a variety of matters including Education Law in Indian Country.
