12.16.2019 - SCWLA SCOTUS Admissions Trip
The 2019 Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) group admissions ceremony for the South Carolina Women Lawyers’ Association will take place on Monday, December 16. A member of South Carolina’s judiciary will join us and move in open court for the admission of our group to the Court’s Bar. We have arranged for up to 50 of our members to have this once in a lifetime opportunity (13 spots have been reserved for SCWLA members who have submitted event applications).
Information about the event and Bar application process and costs can be found here. To ensure inclusion on some group tours that SCWLA will try to arrange that have advance security requirements, please submit event registration forms no later than May 15.
December is a wonderful time to visit Washington, D.C. – the city is decorated, the museums and monuments are open, there are lots of galleries and shops, and there is always lots to see and do. SCWLA members who have already been admitted to the SCOTUS Bar are welcome to participate.
