UPDATED Information Regarding U.S. Supreme Court Swearing-In Trip Available

Preparation for the South Carolina Women Lawyers Association and the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers annual trip to the U.S. Supreme Court for the swearing in ceremony is underway.  Thus far we will be staying at the Phoenix Park Hotel on North Capital Street.  Our journey begins on Saturday, May 1, 2010 with dinner at the Old Ebbitt Grill.  Saturday evening we will have a reception at the hotel, which leaves the day to plan your own activities.  On Sunday we will have the swearing in ceremony, but first we will have breakfast at the Supreme Court Cafe.  We will have special guests that will join us at the cafe:  Justice Thomas and Justice Ginsberg. 

All reservations for the Phoenix Park Hotel must be reserved by April 1st for our special rate.  Our code is either South Carolina Women Lawyers Association or 13437.  Check in time is 3:00 and checkout is 1:00.  The number to the hotel is 202-638-6900.  The web address is www.phoenixparkhotel.com. 

The Georgia women lawyers are planning outings for all of us to enjoy.  They would like to know if any SC attendees want to go to dinner Sunday night at Art & Soul?  We are also looking for someone who may be able to get us a special tour of the White House over the weekend.   Please contact Karen Crane with any suggestions.
